Chancel Choir
Adult Choir Director: Melissa Hinz
The adult choir provides musical leadership and shares musical offerings every Sunday morning for the 8:30am worship service during the school year. The choir is open to all singers in ninth grade and above. They rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7:00pm in the choir room.
Twice a year, during Advent and Lent, the choir prepares an extended choral presentation to share in worship with the congregation. This is a wonderful time to join the choir for a short-term commitment and share in the joy of choral singing.
The choir also offers music in worship on other special days of the church year including Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday. You are invited to come and raise your voice in praise and worship and sing songs to the Lord!
Orchestra
Covenant offers many opportunities for instrumentalists to be involved in worship services. We invite soloists to share their musical gifts in worship on Sunday mornings. Occasionally, instrumentalists are asked to accompany the choir or a special ensemble, or to prepare music for a special service. Covenant also has an orchestra that shares their music in a service in the fall, and again in the spring. Musicians are encouraged to speak with Music Coordinator Melissa Hinz if you are interested in sharing your gifts through solo, small ensemble or orchestral offerings at Covenant.
Small Ensembles
Small ensembles, whether instrumental or vocal, are a wonderful way to share your musical gifts and make a joyful noise to the Lord! If you would like to participate in a small ensemble and share your musical gifts in a worship service, please contact Music Coordinator Melissa Hinz.
