Land Acknowledgements Done Better

Rev. Kerri Parker, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Council of Churches will lead a class on “Land Acknowledgments Done Better,” offering a guide to crafting meaningful land acknowledgments. She will suggest homework regarding the land on which you reside, peoples in the area, and church history. The style of land acknowledgment includes invitations to (and ideas for) concrete action steps in response to what you learn. Rev. Parker's material comes from the work of the Wisconsin Council of Churches in listening to/with Indigenous Peoples in Wisconsin and seeking responsible relationship.
