2025 Offering: Fritz Food Pantry
The 2025 Christmas Eve Offering will go to support the Fritz Food Pantry at the Goodman Community Center.
As you probably know, the need for food support in our community is greater than ever. This pantry serves approximately 4000 people per month, a large reach despite its small size. It is one of Dane County’s busiest food pantries and is supported by an amazing crew of volunteers (about 60 per week.) Goodman’s Fritz Pantry receives food from Second Harvest, food drives, and purchases food with donated funds. Goodman also works with 10 different grocery stores/restaurants for a total of 16 weekly pick-ups receiving products near their expiration dates. This includes fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, meats, and dairy products, most of which would go in a landfill if they were not picked up and re-purposed.
The pantry serves individuals living in 14 different Madison zip codes as well as customers from many towns that surround Madison. With Covenant’s current Mission Focus on Food Insecurity, the Goodman Community Center’s Fritz Food Pantry is a worthy recipient of the 2025 Christmas Eve Offering.
To support this offering please write “Christmas Eve Mission Offering” in the memo line of your check at our Christmas Eve services.
